20 ECE Funding

Because the Ministry is only paying for 6 hours per day and we are open for 10 hours there will be an extra charge for hours not covered by the ECE hours. Your child does not receive more than 20 hours of 20 Hours ECE per week across all services. You authorise the Ministry of Education to make enquiries regarding the information provided in the Enrolment Agreement Form, if deemed necessary and to the extent necessary to make decisions about your child's eligibility for 20 Hours ECE. You consent to the early childhood education service providing relevant information to the Ministry of Education, and to other early childhood education services your child is enrolled at, about the information contained in this box. We do offer sessions under the 20 ECE hours that have no fee attached please see fee schedule.

What do I need to pack?

Pack at least 2 spare sets of clothing in winter and perhaps more in summer. Send warm jackets and clothing for the cooler months so your child can still play outside. We will supply sunblock in the summer months and you get a t-shirt on enrolment. You do not need to pack a drink bottle as we supply purified chilled water.

Do I need to supply my child a hat?

We supply a sun hat that you get on enrolment, you provide a winter hat if your child requires one.

How do I dress my child?

Dress for playtime. We have lots of messy activities set up throughout the day and clothing may get dirty. We have art smocks available for painting but clothing will still get messy. Dress your child comfortably they move around a lot and comfort is best.

What if my child gets tired?

Younger children and children still requiring a sleep will be given a bed or cot with their own linen to have a sleep. Quiet times will be offered to all children in the afternoon as an opportunity to rest. We will accommodate a sleep time for all children if they require one.

Will my child settle quickly?

Every child is different and some settle on their first day and some take a bit longer. We work hard as a team to help this process for your child and for yourself. We encourage visits before your child starts to support this transition in to our centre.

Can my child come when he/she is unwell?

Every sickness has a different incubation period, please see management if you are unsure when your children can return. Sick children who are contagious and / or generally unhappy from sickness are not allowed in the centre until well. Vomiting and diarrhoea requires 48 hours after the last motion absent from the centre.

Are you open public holidays?

We are closed on stat days and full fees still apply for these days.
